Astro, full name Astro Novalite. He's a light blue crescent moon with a black face and star eye, wearing a blanket and sleeping cap. Astro is quiet, with excellent stealth and support abilities.
His "Nap Time" skill helps teammates. Focus on mobility and avoid damage due to low health. Purchase in the Dandy's Store.
Astro excels at Stealth and Support, so it's important to capitalize on that, considering a below-average Health stat. Due to having the most Stealth in game, Astro can easily Support Toons being chased by using Nap time, and make a quick getaway without risking damage due to high Stealth.
After escaping a Twisted, Astro can regain lost Stamina quickly with Well Rested, or be a little devilish and use his stealth to make other Toons act as Distractions.
Astro's main weaknesses are his low Health and average stat spread. Unlike other Main Character Toons, his stats are much more well-rounded (Stealth aside). This means he neither excels at Extraction nor Distraction, but can still do a decent job at either.
Due to this, it could be wise to take full advantage of Astro's high Stealth to avoid being chased in the first place, trying not to take any damage, and completing unsafe Machines right underneath their noses.
As long as a Twisted has its eyes set on someone else, (Besides Connie, who may be a problem) it will effectively never re-target onto Astro unless he is the only viable target left. Also, his lower Skill Check stat will make Extracting slightly slower.
As for Items, Astro doesn't need many Stamina boosts because of his Well Rested passive. Astro can still take advantage of Stamina boosters, but it's better to leave them for teammates.
It's best to prioritize Items that help with mobility so that you aren't caught off guard. If you don't have many teammates focusing on Machines, extraction items will also be helpful. Astro also benefits from healing items, but as he's a Main Character with only 2 max Health, only Bandages should be taken, and Health Kits should be left for your teammates unless you desperately need to heal or they don't need it.
Well Rested's secondary effect should be applied similarly to Sprout's Overprotective: use it to keep tabs on other Toons, considering movement patterns to determine if they need aid or not.
Since Well Rested is not fully reliable, it's less successful for most of Sprout's strategies, but still has potential. Remember that it kicks in when a Toon reaches 50% stamina, not zero, so apply any Nap Times with an appropriate delay to maximize their effect (but not so long that your teammates resort to using items).
For targets like Shrimpo, this means near-immediately, but for ones like Scraps it's advisable to wait a few seconds. When monitoring others with Well Rested, consider the intricacies of how they are moving (i.e. if they stop sprinting or are moving slowly and the direction) when trying to determine their identity and whether they need help.
It is best used when waiting near the elevator to support teammates low on stamina, but as Nap Time can only be applied once during Panic Mode, try to pay attention to who is still missing and how long Well Rested has been active. If you have already used it but notice stragglers, convey this information to teammates quickly so they can try to assist.
Additionally, remember that Nap Time permeates barriers;
if you cannot run around an obstacle in time, act as if it is not there and run as close to your targets as possible before activating it.
Astro's extra stamina regeneration makes him a good pick to practice with if you're learning to distract with 3-star speed.
He is very capable of distracting normal Twisteds as long as your teammates offer you a decent berth and can really shine during Panic Mode if his distraction capabilities are paired with his Support strengths.
Astro is a light blue crescent-waning moon. The left side of his face is black with a white star eye. He wears a cornflower blanket wrapped around his torso, obscuring his arms to the point where they are barely visible as faint furrows in the blanket.
However, his blanket is still short enough that it reveals his legs that are the same color as the moon side of his face.
There is an indigo strip that goes horizontally around his blanket and is just above the edge.
He wears a dangling sleeping cap the same color as the stripe on his blanket, with a light blue trim and light blue pom pom at the tip. During blackouts, he gives off a blue glow.
Some good Trinket sets for Astro include:
► Pink Bow/Speedy Shoes, Pink Bow/Magnifying Glass, Pink Bow/Vee's Remote, and Clown Horn/Ribbon Spool. Speed-boosting Trinkets are generally useful for Astro to ensure he doesn't take any unnecessary damage. In particular, Pink Bow and other Run Speed boosts are significantly useful, since Well Rested allows him to run around much more frequently.
► For an Extraction-focused set, Magnifying Glass/Participation Award works wonders if you can manage to hit the extremely small Skill Checks. Similarly, Blue Bandana and Magnifying Glass also will do very good for Extraction based builds, especially if you're good at hitting Skill Checks.
► Spare Bulb finds a unique niche on Astro due to his passive light radius during Blackouts, and is worth a try if you find yourself struggling with them. Spare Bulb can also help him fulfill his role as a supporter, as his average stats spread (aside from Stealth) grants him survivability from the majority of Twisteds in general and a decent extraction speed that could still be fixed with the use of a secondary trinket.
► If you want to support your team with your active ability Nap Time, you can add Sweet Charm or Ghost Snakes In A Can to any of these trinket sets to reduce your cooldown and use your ability more often.
► Using Vanity Mirror will allow for very versatile tactics, especially if Astro's stealth is being used to more easily accompany Twisted Glisten.
► Dog Plush is recommended if you intend to use him to distract outside of Panic Mode.
Start by drawing a circle for Astro's head. This circle should be wide enough to leave space on either side for his large ears. Then, draw a small oval for the body below the head.
Draw two large floppy ears on the sides of Astro’s head. Each ear should be oval-shaped with a little curve at the top. Then, add small hands attached to the oval-shaped body.
Inside the circle you drew for the head, draw two round eyes towards the middle of the face. Place a small dot for a nose below the eyes and draw a smiling mouth under the nose to give Astro a friendly look.
Smooth out the shapes of the ears, body, and hands. Astro’s design should be slightly rounded, with soft, gentle edges to make him look cute and approachable.
Once the lines are refined, start coloring Astro's body with a light blue color. Make his ears a darker shade of blue, and add small details to the eyes and mouth to make him more expressive.
Finally, add shading to Astro’s body and ears to give depth. Enhance the lines around the eyes and mouth to make them stand out more, finishing the drawing.
