Brightney is one clever lamp, always coming up with bright ideas! She teaches children on how to think up solutions to their everyday problems!
Brightney is a Toon best suited for players who are already familiar with the game mechanics. If you're confident in your abilities, Brightney's unique traits can be leveraged effectively, despite her weaknesses. Her overall performance can be optimized if used strategically.
Brightney excels during Blackouts, where her active ability, Sparkplug Icon Night Light, becomes an invaluable asset. This ability is exclusive to Blackouts and helps counter the primary threat of losing visibility, which is critical to surviving in this challenging environment. Her light is brighter and larger than that of any other Toon, making her an essential source of illumination for teammates. Thanks to Brightney's superior light, she stands out as the best Toon for navigating Blackouts, although Vee is a close contender. When used effectively, Brightney can play a pivotal role in ensuring the team's success in these dark and perilous situations.
While not every Floor presents a Blackout, Brightney remains a valuable Toon in many situations. She boasts an impressive stat pool, with notable strengths in Stamina and Extraction Speed, though her Stealth stat is lacking. To make up for her low Stealth, Brightney can take advantage of her high Stamina to swiftly maneuver in and out of risky scenarios. Additionally, her strong stamina allows her to temporarily divert Twisteds, using her speed and low Stealth to draw them away from other Toons. With enough skill, Brightney can even serve as an effective distraction for normal Twisteds, keeping them engaged indefinitely.
While Brightney's stats are generally strong, her one-star Stealth is both a blessing and a curse. On the one hand, her low Stealth makes it easier to lure Twisteds to Distractors, as they will lock onto her until she moves out of their line of sight. On the other hand, this same Stealth deficiency can attract unwanted attention from nearby Twisteds, especially Main Twisteds. Therefore, if you're planning to extract safely, be sure to assess your surroundings carefully, including the position of any Distractors, to avoid getting caught in a trap or taking unnecessary damage.
With her high Extraction Speed, Brightney can be a valuable asset to the team in various ways, such as assisting with machine extractions or finishing the last one so that other players can get closer to the elevator.
Brightney doesn't have a definitive best set of items, making her quite versatile. Her relatively balanced stats allow for flexibility, and she can adapt to different situations. However, there are some key tips for optimizing her performance:
►Stamina-restoring items are especially useful for Brightney, as they help maintain her above-average Stamina, enabling her to keep moving quickly.
►Healing items are always beneficial. Given Brightney's low Stealth, taking hits is often inevitable, so it's important to keep any healing items you find to stay in the game.
Brightney is a unique lamp Toon with a magenta, scalloped bell lampshade featuring a white trim at the top. She has white blush marks under her eyes and white arms, with her right arm often resting on her right hip.
Her waist is slightly snatched, and both her torso and the tips of her feet are a darker shade of magenta compared to her lampshade. She wears matching magenta tights, and beneath her lampshade, there's a white light bulb held up by white poles and a long white neck. During Blackouts, she emits a bright white glow that is larger and more intense than that of the other Toons, making her stand out.
Brightney is a highly intelligent and helpful Toon, as highlighted in her dialogue and introduction poster. True to her active ability, she excels at solving problems and assisting fellow Toons. However, it's apparent that she can sometimes feel overworked.
Her overworked nature surfaces when she says, "There's always something on my mind, Boxten!" or "Always have to be three steps ahead of those Twisteds!" These lines, along with her to-do list in the Roleplay room, suggest that Brightney is constantly juggling multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Despite this, she remains ever-helpful, always ready to lend a hand to her teammates, which underscores her hardworking and friendly personality.
► Pink Bow + Speedy Shoes: Great for boosting Brightney's Movement Speed, especially considering her high Stamina stat. This combo helps her escape or move quickly when she's being chased.
► Dog Plush + Speedy Shoes: Ideal for distracting Twisteds. With Brightney's low Stealth and high Stamina, she can outpace most normal Twisteds, making it easier to lead them away from teammates.
► Pink Bow/Speedy Shoes + Ribbon Spool/Clown Horn: Useful for partial distraction. Ribbon Spool (even-numbered floors) or Clown Horn (odd-numbered floors) will significantly increase Brightney's Movement Speed, enabling her to lure Twisteds away from Extractors. The synergy with high Stamina and Ribbon Spool, in particular, works well with a distracting Razzle & Dazzle.
► Vanity Mirror: A good choice for Brightney, allowing her to maximize her Stamina pool. This Trinket helps her either lead Twisteds away from the Elevator or escape more efficiently during Panic Mode. It's especially useful if you want to use her low Stealth to save teammates.
Extraction
► Participation Award + Magnifying Glass: These two work well for extraction, boosting Brightney's ability to complete machines faster.
Stealth
► Avoid using Diary, as it has no effect on Brightney's Stealth (which is 0). This Trinket works based on percentages, so it won't provide any noticeable boost.
