Razzle & Dazzle are conjoined twin Toons in Dandy's World, featuring contrasting personalities. Razzle is upbeat and quick, while Dazzle is gloomy and slow. Their unique ability switches their strengths between Extraction and Distraction based on floor parity, making them versatile but challenging to master. Best played in teams, they require strategic Trinket use to optimize both stats. They are available to be bought in Dandy's Store.
While Razzle is always ready to take center stage, his second half Dazzle isn't always so excited to be in the spotlight. These two may see things differently but they know they'll always have each other.
Razzle & Dazzle have a unique, fluctuating playstyle that allows them to adapt to two distinct builds, offering great versatility. While they’re versatile in their roles, they aren’t perfect at any one thing, making them a fun yet solid choice for players.
Their Ability enables Razzle & Dazzle to switch between their strengths—Extraction and Distraction—based on the floor number. On Odd Numbered Floors, Razzle’s high Movement Speed (equivalent to Pebble’s) excels at Distracting Twisteds, while on Even Numbered Floors, Dazzle’s strong Extraction skills (on par with Vee and Glisten) are beneficial for completing Machines. However, Dazzle’s extremely low Movement Speed (1 ★) is a significant drawback, which is why it's recommended to team up with others when using Razzle & Dazzle. If playing solo, Dazzle's speed could make them vulnerable to Twisteds.
Razzle & Dazzle's Ability gives them the ability to adopt the most powerful stats from main characters (like Shrimpo) across each floor, adding an exciting layer of unpredictability. This Ability does come with a trade-off, however. Although they can match the stats of powerful Toons like Pebble, Vee, and Glisten (with their 5 ★ stats), they don't have a consistent, dedicated Ability of their own, which makes them weaker in comparison to those Toons, except in Hearts. Additionally, Razzle & Dazzle must split their Trinkets between two roles, which can prevent either role from reaching its full potential. Dazzle’s low speed further complicates this, making them less efficient as an Extractor since they’ll spend more time dodging Twisteds and looking for Machines, which can negate the benefits of the Extraction speed boost.
When it comes to Items, Razzle & Dazzle can utilize a variety of items effectively. Healing Items are always recommended, while Speed/Stamina Items should be gathered during Razzle’s turn to help improve Dazzle’s safety. Items that complement their playstyle can make a significant difference in overall performance.
For Trinkets, Razzle & Dazzle benefit from focusing on either Speed or Extraction boosts. Speed-enhancing Trinkets like Pink Bow or Speedy Shoes will improve both characters’ mobility, whereas Extraction-boosting Trinkets like Machine Manual or Wrench help maximize Dazzle’s performance. Rather than mixing Trinkets for both roles, it's better to use two Trinkets that complement one role, ensuring better performance. Synergistic Trinket combinations, such as Participation Award and Magnifying Glass, can also enhance their effectiveness.
Razzle & Dazzle have unique and striking appearances, characterized by their comedy and tragedy mask heads. Razzle wears a white comedy mask, smiling with gray blush beneath his eyes, while Dazzle sports a gray, almost black tragedy mask with white tear streaks and a concerned expression. Both masks have a U-shape with rounded bottoms and pointed top edges, resembling horns.
They are connected by red necks that tie together at the front like scarves. Their simple, sleeveless black shirts expose the bottom of their torsos slightly. The contrast in their appearance continues with their limbs and torso: the right side, including the legs and arms, is white like Razzle, and the left side is gray, like Dazzle. This split symbolizes the duality of their personalities.
As conjoined twins, Razzle & Dazzle showcase two completely contrasting personalities that mirror their respective theatre masks. Razzle, the upbeat and cheerful twin, is always excited and eager to interact with others. His optimistic nature shines through when he exclaims, "Couldn't be better!" whenever asked about his mood, highlighting his constant enthusiasm and enjoyment of the spotlight.
On the other hand, Dazzle is the more somber, pessimistic twin. He tends to have a negative outlook on life and is somewhat melancholic, often brushing off compliments. When Boxten praises him, Dazzle responds, "I wish my best was enough," a phrase that encapsulates his self-doubt and gloomy disposition.
Despite their differences, Razzle & Dazzle maintain a strong bond, accepting each other's unique traits and never engaging in conflict, making them an interesting and harmonious duo despite their contrasting personalities.
Here are some effective Trinket combinations for Razzle & Dazzle:
Speed
► Pink Bow/Ribbon Spool: Razzle & Dazzle's Movement Speed on Even Floors mirrors Shrimpo's, making it more challenging to maneuver when searching for Machines. This combination works best for improving Dazzle's speed, especially if you're struggling with his movement.
► Dog Plush/Speedy Shoes: Ideal for distracting on Odd Floors, this setup boosts Dazzle's mobility with Speedy Shoes, giving him more space to work with.
► Dog Plush/Ribbon Spool: A hybrid combination that increases Dazzle's walk speed significantly and also aids in distracting Twisteds when Razzle is in play.
► Ribbon Spool/Speedy Shoes: This combo is highly effective if you're finding Dazzle's speed challenging and want to focus on distracting as Razzle. Razzle’s speed is already on par with Pebble’s, and Speedy Shoes will help further, offering a 15% Movement Speed boost, improving both Razzle's and Dazzle's abilities to escape Twisteds and complete tasks.
► Clown Horn/Ribbon Spool: This combination works uniquely well for Razzle & Dazzle. Clown Horn enhances Razzle's distracting abilities, while Ribbon Spool supports Dazzle’s movement.
► Vanity Mirror/Ribbon Spool: With their strong Extraction Speed on even-numbered floors, this combination helps Dazzle and Razzle avoid problems when the elevator is far from their current position, ensuring smoother machine completions.
► Dog Plush/Clown Horn: This setup is excellent for focusing on distraction, allowing Razzle to outperform Pebble's speed, although it doesn’t benefit Dazzle's speed on even-numbered floors.
Extraction
► Participation Award/Magnifying Glass: This combination boosts Extraction efficiency for players focusing on extraction while having a Distraction role covered by a teammate.
Extraction and Speed
► Ribbon Spool/Vee's Remote: Vee’s Remote helps Razzle & Dazzle complete Machines efficiently on Odd Floors, where Razzle's Extraction stat falls short. Ribbon Spool improves their mobility on Even Floors, especially considering Dazzle's lower Speed. This is a highly recommended combo for Razzle & Dazzle. If you don't have Vee's Remote yet, Wrench is a good early-game alternative.
► Magnifying Glass/Dog Plush: This combination gives Dazzle the edge in Extraction speed, while Dog Plush makes up for Razzle's lower speed, allowing him to distract Twisteds more effectively and increasing both their movement speed during slower moments.
► Ribbon Spool/Magnifying Glass: A great combination for those who want a balanced approach to both Extraction and Speed. Magnifying Glass boosts Razzle’s machine completion, while Ribbon Spool enhances Dazzle's mobility, helping him on both his Extraction and Movement roles.
